PEW Literary is a literary agency founded by Patrick Walsh, an experienced agent who has helped a roll call of best-selling and award-winning authors to launch their writing lives.
After co-founding the hugely successful Conville & Walsh Agency in 2000, Patrick launched PEW Literary in 2016 alongside Margaret Halton, the distinguished agent and translation rights professional.
PEW was then joined by highly experienced associate agent, Doug Young, who had previously held senior roles at leading London publishers. Cora MacGregor and Alex Chernova have since joined the team.
In January 2023, PEW started to work in collaboration with Rebecca Carter, who formed her new agency Rebecca Carter Literary after ten years at Janklow & Nesbit.
PEW also works in partnership with film agent Emily Hayward-Whitlock, who heads the Book to Film and Lit department at The Artists Partnership.
