Andrea Wulf was born in India, raised in Germany and has lived in the
UK for more than 20 years. She’s an award–winning author of five books.
She writes for numerous newspapers including the Guardian, the
Atlantic, WSJ and New York Times. She regularly appears on radio and TV.
The Invention of Nature was an international
bestseller (and published in 23 countries). It was chosen as 10 Best Books
of 2015 in the New York Times and won many awards including the Royal
Society Insight Investment Science Book Prize 2016, Costa Biography Award
2015 and the LA Times Book Prize 2016.
She is a three-time fellow of the International Center for Jefferson
Studies at Monticello and the Eccles British Library
Writer in Residence 2013. She's a member of PEN American Center, an
International Fellow of the Explorer's Club, a member of The Society
of Woman Geographers, and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
