Dr Caroline Elton is a Chartered Psychologist who has worked with doctors
since 1998. Previous roles include setting up and running a pan-London careers
support service and heading the Extended Medical Degree Programme at King’s
College London, the largest ‘widening participation’ medical degree course in
the UK. A regular conference speaker in the UK and abroad, she has written
widely about the problems that doctors face including over 40 articles in
academic and medical trade publications. In 2014 Dr Elton left her NHS role and
set up her own career consultancy. Now that she is no longer an NHS employee,
she can write freely about the problems that doctors regularly encounter in
their work.
