Dave Goulson is Professor of Biology at University of Sussex. He is the author of the Sunday Times bestsellers, Garden Jungle and A Sting in the Tale, which was shortlisted for the Samuel Johnson Prize and was a BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week, and A Buzz in the Meadow. Goulson founded the Bumblebee Conservation Trust in 2006. For his work in championing the cause of our wild bees he was made the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council’s Social Innovator of the Year, awarded the Zoological Society of London’s Marsh Award for Conservation Biology, elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and given the British Ecological Society Public Engagement Award. In 2015 he was in BBC Wildlife Magazine’s list of the top 50 most influential people in conservation.
His latest book Silent Earth was published by Jonathan Cape in the UK and Ecco Press in the US.
He lives in East Sussex with his wife and their three boys.
