Marcus Berkmann is a regular contributor to Private Eye, the Oldie (where he's film critic) and the Daily Mail (where he reviews books). He wrote a pop column for the Spectator for 28 years before finally running out of ideas and retiring in 2014. He has written columns for the Independent magazine (until it died), TV reviews for the Daily Mail and sports columns for Punch, the Independent on Sunday and the Daily Express. He also runs the quiz company Brain Men, and is a regular on BBC Radio 4's Round Britain Quiz.
His latest book, How to Be a Writer: Baths, Biscuits and Endless Cups of Tea, is published by Little, Brown.
