Michael Brooks, who holds a PhD in quantum physics, has more than 20 years’ experience of writing about science. He is a consultant for New Scientist magazine, and has written for numerous other publications, including the Guardian, the Sunday Times, Playboy and Port. Brooks has made many appearances on TV and radio, and is the co-host, with Rick Edwards, of the acclaimed iTunes top 10 podcast Science(ish). His books, which include the bestselling 13 Things That Don’t Make Sense, have been translated into more than a dozen languages.
His latest book, The Art of More: How Mathematics Created Civilisation, was published by Scribe in the UK and Knopf in the US.
