Paul Caruana Galizia is a reporter at Tortoise, having previously been a Visiting Fellow at the LSE, an analyst at Facebook, and a Marie Curie Fellow at the Humboldt-University in Berlin. In 2019 he won the New Journalist of the Year award at the British Journalism Awards. He has also produced a four part investigative podcast, ‘My Mother’s Murder’, which won best factual podcast from the Association of International Broadcasters, a silver medal at the British Podcast Awards, and a bronze medal at the Radio Academy ARIAS. Paul and his brothers were recently awarded a Magnitsky Human Rights Award and an Anderson-Norman-Lucas Award for their work to achieve justice for their mother Daphne Caruana Galizia, the Maltese journalist who was assassinated in 2017, and for Malta.
